PlanetProf is a startup that aims to simplify the work of teachers and education professionals by creating connections between colleagues and sharing experiences.

Through an APP+WebPanel platform, teachers can receive personalised content related to textbook consultation, cultural events, travel and study holiday offers, training and language courses.

The teacher can comment on and evaluate the content received, as well as view attachments for further study (such as requests for information or essay copies).

The collaboration with PlanetProf began at the Innovami incubator in Imola. The owner of the startup had the idea, but was looking for a development team able to support him technologically in the creation of the platform.

The process with PlanetProf started with the definition of the functional specifications, to identify the most important functionalities that the first MVP should have. Following the functional specifications, the wireframe of the app and dashboard was created, showing the structure of the platform and the layout of all the elements.

Once the wireframes were approved, the graphic mockups were created, showing all the style elements within the app.

Following the graphic mockups, we moved on to the development phase.

The web platform for uploading content, sending it to end users and analysing statistics was built in PHP (with the Laravel framework and a graphic layout in Bootstrap + jquery). Cloudconvert was also integrated for video uploading, to optimise videos for web viewing.

The mobile application, on the other hand, was built using the Ionic3 framework. The application receives push notifications every time a suitable content is loaded for the user.
